Burke has built, expanded and renovated buildings that have made Las Vegas famous, and are now applying that same award winning experience to construct state of the art buildings and facilities throughout the United States.

Burke Construction Group was honored recently with the 2014 General Contracting Firm of the Year Award at NAIOP’s 17th Annual Spotlight Awards. This prestigious award recognizes a General Contractor that demonstrates excellence in their field, participation in NAIOP, community service, and the delivery of significant projects in 2013. This is the fourth time Burke has been honored in this category, having previously been recognized in 2005, 2008 and 2012.

Burke Construction Group, one of Southern Nevada’s pre-eminent general contractors, is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2014. With more than 400 projects to its credit, Burke employs more than 60 full-time construction staff and is responsible for more than $100 million of construction work each year.

John Travassos, LEED AP bd+c is Promoted to Vice President of Operations

Burke Construction Group is pleased to announce the recent promotion of John Travassos to Vice President of Operations. Previously, John led the operations for Burke’s West/Southwest and Upper Midwest Divisions.

Desert National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center at Corn Creek Receives LEED Platinum Publically Certified Building Status from the U.S. Green Building Council

Burke Construction Group, Compendium International and SH Architecture are very pleased to announce that our collaborative Desert National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center at Corn Creek project has recently obtained LEED Platinum Publically Certified Building Status from the U.S. Green Building Council. This is only the seventh LEED Platinum project in Nevada and the first one certified since July, 2012.

Burke Construction Group Recently Completes Seven Hills Behavioral Institute Expansion Project

Burke Construction Group recently completed construction of the new Seven Hills Behavioral Institute Expansion project at 3021 Horizon Ridge Parkway in Henderson, Nevada.  This four million dollar project is the new addition and expansion to an existing 26,400 sq. ft. steel and block 56 bed psychiatric facility originally completed by Burke Construction Group in 2008. 

Burke Construction Group Recently Completes Vadatech's New R&D and Manufacturing Facility in Henderson

This new state of the art facility is the new corporate headquarters for the Vadatech Corporation. The facility consists of over 70,000 sq. ft. of research and development components as well as cutting edge manufacturing equipment. Additional features included a gourmet cappuccino and coffee bar, employee cafeteria, reading lounge and an employee fitness center. Construction for this $11.7 million dollar project began in February, 2013.

Burke Construction Group is pleased to announce that the recently completed Desert National Wildlife Refuge Visitor’s Center at Corn Creek project won the 2014 NAIOP Spotlight Award for Sustainable Impact.   The 17th Annual Spotlight Awards were held on March 1, 2014 at the Golden Nugget in downtown Las Vegas. This notable annual event recognizes distinguished commercial real estate projects throughout Southern Nevada. 

Skagit Valley College's New Lewis Hall Takes Shape...Spacious Three-story Building Embraces Green Technology

MOUNT VERNON — Construction is ahead of schedule and on budget on the new Charles Lewis Hall at Skagit Valley College, which looks to bring massive upgrades in space, technology and efficiency over the current 54-year-old Lewis Hall.

Where the current one-story building makes use of covered, outdoor hallways to limit indoor area, the new Lewis Hall will have wide-open lobbies, corridors and skyways with chairs and tables for informal studying and mingling. “Informal study space is one of the things that community colleges really lack because we were so tight on budgets for so long,” said Mary Alice Grobins, vice president of administrative services.

Burke Construction Group was recently honored with the J.A. Tiberti Spirit Award at the 2013 AGC / NCA Contractor of the Year Awards, held at The Orleans Hotel and Casino on October 18, 2013.

This award is named in honor of the pioneering Southern Nevada contractor, J.A. Tiberti. The award recognizes a company’s innovative approach to project delivery, business mentoring, customer support, value added service and new technology. Burke Construction Group has previously won this award in 2007, 2010 and 2011.”

Burke Construction Group Recently Completed Walmart's Newest Super Center in Marysville, Washington

Burke Construction Group Lands Bellevue Project

The Spokane office of Las Vegas-based Burke Construction Group Inc. has started work on a $12.8 million project to build a new transportation maintenance facility for the Bellevue School District.
