Burke Construction Group Appoints New Project Manager Marvin Chandler, LEED AP To Our Operations Team
Burke Construction Group is pleased to announce that Marvin Chandler has joined the firm as a Project Manager. Marvin is a 22 year United States Navy Veteran where he attained his construction experience as a member of the Seabees serving in the capacity of General Construction Specialist. Marvin is a LEED Accredited Professional and attained specialized training as a Naval Construction Force Advanced Builder, Construction Planner and Estimator.
Burke Construction Group Recently Begins Construction on the new Berthold High School Expansion & Modernization Project in Berthold, North Dakota
Burke is pleased to announce the recent construction for the expansion & modernization of Berthold High School. Located in Berthold, ND, this $6,426,000 project was designed by EAPC Architects Engineers. This 36,000 sq. ft. expansion includes three separate additions to the original high school campus, including a new gymnasium, cafeteria, music room & vocational classrooms. Originally built in 1963, the remodeled portion of the facility will hold new classroom space for a science lab, teaching kitchen and the relocation of the school’s greenhouse.
Burke Construction Group Recently Completes Bed, Bath & Beyond Harmon Distribution Facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
This project was the modernization & enhancement of an existing 180,000 sq. ft. distribution warehouse developed by Thomas and Mack Development Group. The $5,200,000 project included the construction of approximately 120,000 sq. ft. of main office and full buildout of the shipping & receiving departments. It also entailed the demolition and construction of new dock levelers and equipment as well as the installation of all new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
Skagit Valley College Charles Lewis Academic and Student Services building in Mount Vernon, Washington Recently Obtained LEED Gold Certified Building Status From The U.S. Green Building Council.
Designed by Keith Schreiber with Schreiber, Starling and Lane, this $22,000,000 project replaced the former Lewis Hall building on campus. This three story, 72,850 sq. ft. structural steel and pan deck structure has an exterior skin of masonry brick, composite panels and curtain walls. Scope of work included an administrative first floor with student services, a college union facility and light recreational facility. Several classrooms are now located on the second and third floors.

Kevin Burke Reappointed to the Nevada State Contractor's Board

The Contractors Board is responsible for regulating and ruling on all issues that impact the construction industry. Asurion Call Center Receives Temporary Certificate of Occupancy
On Wednesday, October 1st, Burke received a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO) for the 4th floor of our Asurion Call Center Project! This is a significant milestone for Asurion, as this allows them to begin the hiring & training process for 500 new jobs by the end of the year. This approximate 90,000 sq. ft. call center is on target to be completed on November 1st

Desert National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center at Corn Creek Receives LEED Platinum Publically Certified Building Status from the U.S. Green Building Council
Burke Construction Group, Compendium International and SH Architecture are very pleased to announce that our collaborative Desert National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center at Corn Creek project has recently obtained LEED Platinum Publically Certified Building Status from the U.S. Green Building Council. This is only the seventh LEED Platinum project in Nevada and the first one certified since July, 2012.
Burke Construction Group Recently Completes Vadatech's New R&D and Manufacturing Facility in Henderson
This new state of the art facility is the new corporate headquarters for the Vadatech Corporation. The facility consists of over 70,000 sq. ft. of research and development components as well as cutting edge manufacturing equipment. Additional features included a gourmet cappuccino and coffee bar, employee cafeteria, reading lounge and an employee fitness center. Construction for this $11.7 million dollar project began in February, 2013.
