| Burke's Director of Operations, John Travasssos, and/or a Project Executive will oversee the construction management team for every project. They are responsible for the overall success of any given project from conception to completion. Their responsibilities include oversight and coordination of value engineering during the design and construction stages. They are also responsible for inter-team activities, time schedule monitoring and client communications. Regular management review meetings are conducted with key staff members to ensure orderly progression of the projects. They will personally review any issues that may arise during the project and participates in decisions relating to the solutions of such problems.
A Burke Construction Group Project Manager will also be assigned to your project. He will be responsible for the schedule, controls, cost containment and budget. He is also responsible for the overall management and technical direction of the project and the optimum utilization of the subcontractors to ensure that each project remains on schedule, within budget parameters and that quality of workmanship is achieved. The project manager will coordinate with the project superintendent in the orderly progression of your entire project.
The Burke Construction Group superintendent will check and review construction methods, manage scheduling, and will continuously focus on time and budget management as well as monitor construction quality. The superintendent will also hold weekly job site meetings between respective subcontractors and Burke Construction Group personnel to check and review proper scheduling, quality of workmanship and various weekly items of discussion as well as ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
All subcontractors will answer directly to Burke Construction Group personnel on a pre-assigned basis. Administrative procedures are handled through Burke's project manager, who will be in direct day-to-day contact with the construction superintendent. Each client's work force requirements will depend on the stage of the project and will be reviewed with our subcontractors on a daily basis.
Critical to each project is the monetary constraint, overall construction time and quality of the final end-user product. These procedures, combined with our experience and current working knowledge not only help to ensure minimal impact and a shortened construction schedule, but prioritize cost containment and maximize quality workmanship as well.
